What nourishment would make plants grow the fastest? My experiment tested the following types of nourishment:
Tap water
Pete’s Bloom Buster
Miracle-Gro
Vinegar
Coffee grounds
Eggshells
Milk
Compost

Hypothesis

I believe Miracle-Gro will make plants grow the fastest.

Experiment

I chose to investigate different kinds of natural nourishments to see if they were any better than the name brand fertilizers from the store. For six weeks I kept track of each plants growth by counting each sprouts and seeing how green each plant was. I kept all information and pictures in a photo album.

Conclusion

I wrote in my hypothesis that Miracle-Gro would grow plants the fastest, but my hypothesis was incorrect. In my top 3 nourishment winner weekly results, Milk placed from week 2 to week 6. I chose placement by how healthy and how many sprouts each plant had. Some people say that Milk does a body good, but my research shows Milk does plants good, too!

From this project, I learned that you do not have to waste your money on name brand fertilizers from the store. Instead when you drink your coffee you can put the coffee grounds on your plants or if you are cooking with some vinegar and you see your plants are not growing very well, you could take a capful of vinegar and put it in your plants. Also when you are snacking on cookies and milk and your plants are puny, you could take some of that milk and put it in your plants. The most important things to make your plants grow, though, are sunlight and water!!
