Science fair projects on remote control boat experiments allow you to turn your love of remote control boats into an award winning science fair project. When designing these electronics experiments you will want to have fun while you learn about science. There are a lot of science concepts that you can explore with remote control boats, and here are a few examples.

The first option that you have for your science fair projects on remote control boat experiments is to find ways to improve the distance your boat can travel from your remote control unit. For this experiment you will want to explore using different radio frequencies, different power sources and different control unit designs. Use your imagination. When writing out your hypothesis you will want to specify how much you want to improve the distance, for example your hypothesis can be, "Using a frequency with a high MHz value will increase the distance the boat can travel from the rc unit by 25 percent."

CEN RACING - Grey Thunder 28+ MPH (Nitro .16 engine) The second option that you have for your science fair projects on remote control boat experiments is to design a remote control unit that is capable of operating two boats at once.

To write your hypothesis you will need to make some sort of predictions. For example, two remote control boats can be controlled at the same time by a single remote control panel. The experiment will then work on design a remote control panel, or testing existing panels to see if the hypothesis is supported.

If you are interested in salt water experiments science fair projects then consider testing this hypothesis, "salt water will support boats made from denser materials than fresh water." The independent variable for this experiment is the type of water that the boat is floated in and the dependent variable will be if the boat floats or sinks. You will need to conduct several experiments, using a different density materials to build the boat in each experiment.

The fourth option that you have is to create beginner science fair projects that examine how to make a remote control boat waterproof. For this experiment you will want to test several sealants or materials to see which one will keep the construction material from becoming water logged. Your independent variable for this experiment will be the sealant that you use and the dependent variable will be its ability to waterproof the boat. This can be a fun and interesting experiment. You can make things more interesting by constructing your boat from cardboard and then install an RC motor. What sealant works the best?

Creating an advanced rc boat experiment is not difficult. All you have to do is take simple data and use it to make a prediction. Then you will design a hypothesis and experiment around that prediction. You can also develop an advanced science fair project by asking questions about your topic or by expanding an existing project. All of these are viable options. Use them to help you develop an award winning science fair project.
